This is a modern interpretation of the 1967 62GS, Grand Seiko’s first watch to feature an automatic movement. Its sharply multifaceted case is achieved through Zaratsu polishing, and its bezel-free design creates a wide-open appearance for the dial. The example highlighted here is a 26mm quartz model equipped with a “Cherry Blossoms”(Hana-Ikada in Japanese) dial pattern, inspired by the sight of cherry blossom petals drifting in the spring breeze be-fore coming to rest on the surface of a river. Symmetrically set diamonds enhance the beauty of the popular Cherry Blossoms dial, adding an extra touch of elegance.
